No stranger to innovation in the world of optics, Crimson Trace is set to launch 50 new riflescopes in 2021. You read that right…FIFTY…new scopes. Crimson Trace (CT), founded in 1994, is best known and celebrated for not only manufacturing high end laser sights, but in literally developing the category.
Over the last couple of years, CT has expanded beyond laser sighting systems - they still make those - and into the realm of weapon mounted lights, red dot sights and notably, a slew of magnified optics. Now, it appears that Crimson Trace is more than just “expanding” their scope category. They’re fully entrenched, and fully committed - as noted by a no-questions-asked-no-time-limit lifetime warranty across the line.
For 2021, the brand is launching two new riflescope categories, 17 custom reticles, and an accompanying ballistic calculator app. Let’s zero in…
Premium Construction
Aerospace Grade Aluminum: CT scopes are built with aerospace-grade aluminum, making them durable and lightweight.
Tube Sizes
Brushline scopes come in one inch and 30mm tube diameters.
Superior Glass Quality
All scopes have MOC (maximum optical clarity) and ELD (extra low dispersion) glass.
Turret Options
Brushline scopes come with capped and exposed turret options, are built for tooless adjustments, and have springless, zero-reset so field adjustments are effortless.
Ease of Use
Aggressive knurling has been applied to the magnification rings, turret caps, and turrets to ensure quick, easy adjustments in the field—even with the thickest pair of gloves.
Parallax
Available in select Pro models, side parallax adjustment allows for precise shooting at any distance.

With the 50 new magnified optics, Crimson Trace has also engineered 17 different custom reticles to be found across the Bushline series and Hardline series.
From Crimson Trace:
"When the animal of a lifetime is in your sights, trust in our premium Brushline™ reticles. Whether you're a predator hunter, big-game fanatic, or anything in between, we've got you covered with eight premium options."
"Our Hardline™ reticles have years of study and design behind them. After consulting top experts in multiple fields, we're bringing you 10 options that will enhance your shooting experience no matter your discipline."
Technology and Crimson Trace seems like a no brainer. They will be offering the “Trace Ballistic Calculator” App to correspond with this myriad of products. The app will be free and is compatible with all new and existing CT optics.
The app is in development at the time of this posting but will offer:
• The ability to calculate precise bullet drops for your individual gun and ammo combinations
• Factory and hand load compatibility
• Second focal plane scope slider for adjusted bullet drops
• The ability to share, email and save custom setups
The Gun Talk Media team had a chance to see some early prototypes of these products, and it appears that Crimson Trace is definitely “all in”. They listen to the marketplace to make informed decisions, their testing process and quality control is world-class, and they are truly passionate about what they’re releasing.
