Did You Miss It? Show on 5/16/10
Tom took Gun Talk Radio on the road this week - to the NRA Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC. Tom recorded the show at the Springfield Armory booth this year, and fans of the show got to watch as radio magic happened! Who stopped by? Everyone!
Rob Leatham of Springfield Armory talked about the new, and much-anticipated, XDM .45 ! He also talked about being a competitive shooter, including his 16th consecutive win at the last Single Stack Championship . Catch him at the Bianchi Cup competition in Columbia next! Mike Shovel of Corbon/Glaser spoke of the variety of ammunition they offer, including the Glaser's Safety Slug and Pow'RBall ammo. Bonus: Mike's gives the recipe for making ballistic gelatin! Tom Taylor with Mossberg was at the NRA Annual Meetings in two capacities: Mossberg and HAVA! Andy Scott of Viridian Green Laser Sights dropped in to discuss why green lasers are the hottest thing right now. Bill Gravatt of Sinclair, Intl. brought along a cool rifle rest to talk about. Chris Hodgdon of Hodgdon Powder Co., Inc. dropped in to talk reloading with Bill and Tom. Everyone is very excited about the new extreme bench rest powder and the extreme temperature conditions it performs in. Marty Hayes is busy pulling double-duty at the Firearms Academy of Seattle and the Armed Citizens Network, formed to help members in the defense of self-defense shootings. Rachel Parsons with the NRA stopped in to talk about the NRA Annual Meetings, which will be heading back to Pittsburgh for 2011. She also spoke about some of the programs the NRA has, including their Eddie Eagle Safety Program. Gun Value Guru Steve Fjestad, of Blue Book, Inc. brought by a friend of his, legend John Bianchi! David Goldman, the Gun Trust Lawyer, talked about the importance and legality of passing on guns and accessories to loved ones, including machine guns and suppressors.
